How To Make Jelly Slice

 

                                 

  • 8 oz arrow root biscuits

  • 4 oz butter


  • 1 tin condensed milk

  • Juice 2 lemons

  • 2 tea spoons gelatin

  • 1 packet jelly


  1. BASE

  2. Melt butter and add crushed biscuits.

  3. Press into a deep slice tray.

  4. Refrigerate for 10 mins to cool.


  5. TOPPING

  6. Dissolve gelatin into 3/4 of a cup of boiling water.

  7. Mix condensed milk, lemon juice and gelatin until it returns to the consistency of the condensed milk.

  8. Pour over base and refrigerate until firm


  9. IMPORTANT

  10. Make up jelly in a jug with 1 cup of boiling water and one quarter of a cup of cold water.

  11. Take the jug to the fridge and pour over base.

  12. Leave in fridge to set.

  1. Your Jelly Slice looks amazing. Does it taste as good as it looks? It's tricky to get the layout right using the bullet points isn't it. Have you thought about removing them?
