SLJ Plane Experiment

 

In this experiment I made three different types of planes 1 the normal one 2 the ring glider 3 hoop glider.  It is hard rolling up the straw for the hoop glider. And the normal one won.

Flying Foxes

 If I could have a superpower I would have the ability to fly because i could be able to fly any were for free and you wouldn't have to walk and you could visit your family any time. and if some was looking for me I could just fly up and away.

Bird of the Year

 The Rock-hopper has a white belly and a black back, it also has a orange beak and yellow hair from the head. Rockhoppers are found bounding among the craggy, windswept shorelines of the islands north of Antarctica, from Chile to New Zealand. Rockhoppers normally eat krill, but will also eat other crustaceans as well as squid.

You Are My Sunshine

 In new Zealand you have the highest risk of getting skin cancer and to lower that risk there are some things you can do like put on 30 spf sunscreen 20 mins before going out side, put on clothes, get into any shade, put on a bucket hat and put on some sunglasses.  

Togs or Trackies?

 In my opinion, I think people should come to New Zealand mid summer because the weather is usually warm and there are a lot of places you can go like the luge in rotorua, the beach, the escarpment walk, in Paekakariki.

Caged Animals

 

Me and my class are doing this story called The Black Hat and this is one of the activities, it is about animal cruelty.                                                            

Camp

 In the morning we woke up and had breakfast.

 My first activity was was free time we went into the hall and played games like killer hockey it was fun.

Then we went on a beach walk it was cool we got to see goose and ducks, the walk took about 30 minutes, when we got back my next activity was rock climbing.

I went to the meeting place then we went over to the hall where the rock climbing was. The instruktors showed us how to use the harness i stared of on a green one it was easy so i went to the hardest one it was to hard so i went to a easy one i nearly made it but i slipped of it i was annoyed.

Then we had an hour free time there was a bunch of activities i chose to do water slide it was so fun me and Thomas were on it for ages then we got cold so we got off. 

We had dinner and finished matilda then we went to sleep.

Lockdown

In Lockdown some of the stuff that we did at school was the same when we were at home like class, we used our chrome books, and reading were the same. At home you could finish early, play more and eat any time that was good. I missed a few this about school and they were my friends, tag, handball, and maths.

School has changed a bit since we are not aloud assenbiles, we have to sanitise, and we have more gaps between us. I enjoyed that you could do your work in any order, and you could work with your friends. My favourite activity In lockdown was to play minecraft,

I am still not to sure how i feel about coming back to school.

LifeCycle Of The Longfin Eel

 The eggs start of at sea then they hatch into larvae witch are leaf shaped and they float on the sea current

 when they are on the journey they grow in to glass eels which are see through and skinny when they are at freshwater after a while they grow into elvers

Elvers  can climb waterfalls for a short period of time at once then they grow into adult eels 

Adult eels they spend most of there life before go back to the sea to lay eggs

How To Make Jelly Slice

 

                                 

• 8 oz arrow root biscuits

• 4 oz butter

• 
  

• 1 tin condensed milk

• Juice 2 lemons

• 2 tea spoons gelatin

• 1 packet jelly

1. BASE

2. Melt butter and add crushed biscuits.

3. Press into a deep slice tray.

4. Refrigerate for 10 mins to cool.

5. 
   

6. TOPPING

7. Dissolve gelatin into 3/4 of a cup of boiling water.

8. Mix condensed milk, lemon juice and gelatin until it returns to the consistency of the condensed milk.

9. Pour over base and refrigerate until firm

11. IMPORTANT

12. Make up jelly in a jug with 1 cup of boiling water and one quarter of a cup of cold water.

13. Take the jug to the fridge and pour over base.

14. Leave in fridge to set.

Quick Write

They had always been together, for as long as he could remember. They had always been the best of friends. She had taught him everything he knew, relentlessly preparing him for life in the outside world..

This was the moment they had both been waiting for...

I have had him for 6 years, it was time, he had to go. He was as big as a house. He was too big for everything. Letting him go was as hard as breaking down a tree with your hands. I was going to take him to a tower of giraffes. We were walking for a month of Sundays, it took ages, but we got there. I took the pink and white lead off, it was as pink and white as a candy cane. I was so gutted to let him go but it had to happen. I let him go to the tower of giraffes, where he started to graze. He looked so happy.

My Holidays

On Friday 23 of July, the second week of the holidays Cooper asked if Thomas and Kupa wanted to go swimming and go-Carting, we all said yes. So in the morning Cooper and his mum Sam came and picked me up then we went and got Thomas and Kupa, once we got them we went to porirua, it took like 40 minutes to get there but once we did we started to look for the pool, we were there so we payed then we went down the slide it was really fun, we started diving in to the slide and there was a turn in the slide so we went flying. We got in the pool and there was a wave pool every 30 minutes, it was really fun then we saw there was a place where you can manu we were doing that until the wave pool went again we did some huge ones, then we played tag in the lazy river I tired to tag Kupa but I scraped my knuckle on the wall and it started to bleed. We played that for ages then we got out,  we got changed then we went to get pizza while we waited Cooper opened the car door and the alarm went off, it was on of ages but it turned off. We got the pizza and headed to a nearby skate park. We ate our pizza, then we did an obstacle course. There was a big jump we all did but Kupa landed on two feet and didn’t roll so he broke his foot. We were playing there for awhile then we got a mcflurry and the playground at McDonald was huge. Next we went to the go-Karts. We payed then we got in the go-Karts, I kept spinning out, Thomas’s go-Cart wasn’t exalerrateing so he got me to bump into him we did that for 20 minutes. Then we went home. It was a fun day.

My holiday with my friend

In the holidays I went to Jumparama with Thomas, Ethan and Cam. It is in Lower Hutt my Mum took us down.

It took a while when we got there we went in, it was smallish. We payed we had our on jump socks but we had to wear there socks, we had to wait a bit because there was anther group in there, when we got on we went straight  to the form pit, I nearly did a double back flip after we had a hour there we went back home 

On the way there we stopped at Kmart and pita pit and we got some food because we were all hungry. my mum went in to countdown to get stuff for dinner, it took ages to get back because we got stuck in traffic. When we got home it was late, me and Thomas were playing Minecraft while Ethan and Cam were playing Fortnite we ate dinner it was burgers and then we went to sleep.
